Ms. Nicholson’s practice is concentrated in the areas of family law, matrimonial law, collaborative practice, and family mediation. She also handles real estate transactions. She is a mediator for the Dispute Resolution Center in Carmel, New York where she is a legal presenter for €œParents Apart€ a parent education program certified by the New York State Parent Education and Awareness Program designed to help separating, divorced and never married parents focus on the special needs of their children during the restructuring of their families. She is a member of the Pace Women’s Justice Center Moderate Means Matrimonial Panel and is certified to act as an attorney for children by the Appellate Division, Second Department. Ms. Nicholson is also a member of the Part 36 Panel of Fiduciaries qualified to accept appointments in the Supreme and Surrogate’s Courts of Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester counties.
